A nice warm, friendly, cosy pub. We went for the monthly quiz and also had something to eat. The food was very nice, but this pub is expensive... I enjoyed the quiz, but you have to sit in the restaurant to play... Which I didn't like. I would rather have sat in the bar.I would return on occasion.
A great pub in the historic location of Broad Halfpenny down the cradle of English cricket. The Bat and Ball is a fullers house but retains its old style with a good menu and fullers beers .

Just a really great experience. Food was wonderful and the staff were friendly and helpful. Loved the very rural setting.
A truly great English pub. Great food and great service in a lovely setting. We only discovered the place 6 months ago but now we make regular visits for a Saturday dinner, a cracking Sunday lunch or a refreshing drink.It's the best pub for miles. Don't be surprised if it's busy!
