Lovely country pub/ hotel. Bit in the sticks you would normally pass this and would need to plan a visit. Great atmosphere, friendly staff and good food.
A great traditional looking pub with a modern hotel attached to the back. The food and staff were lovley, and the hotel room was equally as good.Reasonably priced, great for a night or two away, would definitely recommend.
We went for a carvery dinner, lovely food, friendly staff and atmosphere was great. Only couple of complaints, first was the fact that we chose this pub as Fullers advertised a 20% discount for meals in January. We downloaded the voucher only to be told at the point of settling the bill that the Hampshire Hog won't accept the voucher on a Sunday. We plus other customers queried this as it doesn't say that on the terms and conditions page. We were then told it does say at managers discretion. So we felt a little duped! Also it was very warm in there and the tables were too close together.
Took a while for the food to come even though it was very quiet. I thought the food was quite expensive for what it was ( I think it is a chain pub). The puddings were very expensive so we gave them a miss. Staff were very helpful and pub was nicely decorated for Christmas with an open fire.
Fantastic Christmas Day dinner, service was fab and the food was superb! It's the first time we have been here and we will definitely be back. Thank you so much for everything
