Had some work done that was due on the service schedule with no problems, so I came back with an intermittent fault and put my trust into what I believed to be a specialist.To cut a long story short I allowed 3 attempts to resolve the problem at my expense and indeed it was expensive. The problem was never resolved.At no point was I told the problem may not be fixed with said parts due to it being an intermittent fault, each time I was assured it would be fixed.Being in a trade myself I understand intermittent faults are difficult to resolve but I would of appreciated being told that he was actually just making educated guesses based on the symptoms, allowing me to decide myself on the risk of it not being fixed with works carried out. I respect honesty not being lied to.My time and money wasted.Would not recommend or use againJust to be clear that on all visits the fault was always the same there were never any different faults and it is very insulting to be told otherwise I guess it was to try and cover up the initial misdiagnosis.If from the beginning I was given an honest explanation that there may be some trial and error and or process of elimination to fix the problem then fair enough I would then know from the beginning and thats on me, sadly I didn't get such honesty.I still have the intermittent clutch pedal sticking to this day which is also the same reason I never rushed it back in because its bearable to live with and have since given up trying to get it repaired.
This is a really good car service centre, with a real focus on customer care and good old honesty. Lee is very knowledgeable and knows Volkswagen, Audi (all VAG cars) inside out.I have had my cars serviced here for almost 10 years and I will continue to do so.
